- Regulation (EU) 2018/858 establishes the EU framework for approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles, trailers, systems, components and separate technical units. It supplies the general type-approval architecture within which automated-vehicle safety requirements and implementing measures are integrated and recognised across the Union.
