- Act No. 106/2018 Coll. regulates technical requirements, vehicle approval, market surveillance and conditions for road operation in Slovakia. Section 49 provides the national permit pathway for test operation of automated and fully automated vehicles, including safety evidence, operating conditions, route or time restrictions, data and insurance requirements.

- It is the principal Slovak vehicle-law basis for public-road testing of automated vehicles and therefore defines the national authorisation layer before broader commercial deployment.
