Summary: Essay forthcoming in the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology on the remote facilitation of automated driving. It separates remote assistants, who advise an automated driving system, from remote drivers, who control it in real time, reviews the 2026 US disclosures and California's first rules on remote facilitation, and argues that companies rather than individual facilitators should bear responsibility, proposing adversarial audits, emergency simulations and emergency geofencing.
Význam: The clearest US legal account of remote human roles behind driverless vehicles; a direct comparator for the EU remote intervention operator and the German technical supervision coded in Module 03.
